Introduction - Who is Deacon Marc?

My name is Deacon Marc Simard. I am a baptized Catholic who was born again into the Church through teaching catechism and the power of youth ministry. I studied at Atlantic School of Theology and was ordained as a permanent deacon in 2012. After retirement from my lay role as College Faculty, I was assigned to a four church / two parish leadership role. Working with the priests assigned to the parishes, I spent three years developing a plan and bringing the churches to life through evangelization. Community growth both in attendance and income was measurably improved. Due to health and significant burnout, I retired from active ministry and have been praying and reflecting on Church growth in Christ’s mission ever since. This blog is a place where I will share my insights gained in my years of ministry (both before and after ordination) and reflections since retirement.
